Our team
Michael Forder serves as Director of Learning Experience and Architecture for the Bachelor of Science in Health Services Program and the Department of Health Administration. In this role he leads initiatives to create high quality online and hybrid programs that are learner-centered and that are responsive to changing needs in health care.
A career educator, Michael has worked in both secondary and post-secondary institutions, serving in teaching, faculty development instructional design, instructional technology, assessment, and program development roles. Michael’s prior roles at VCU include serving as Director of E-Learning with the College of Health Professions, Learning Spaces Specialist with VCU Online, and Education Technology Specialist with the School of Pharmacy. He holds a B.S. in business administration from Brockport State University, a M.Ed in instructional design and technology from Mary Washington University, and an Ed.D. in Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.
His professional interests include education affordability and equity, academic assessment, and online curriculum design.
