Our team

Emily Edwards currently serves as a Cancer Support Care Patient Navigator within VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center's Office of Community Outreach and Engagement. Emily also serves as a Research Assistant within the VCU School of Public Health's Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Emily is passionate about addressing social drivers of health that contribute to cancer prevention and control inequities. Emily is also a VCU alum who is native to the Richmond, Virginia area.
Emily received her B.S. in Community Health from George Mason University and her M.P.H. (concentration in Cancer Health Equity Science) from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is dedicated to being a lifelong learner who continues to seek out opportunities to grow as a public health researcher and educator.
