Adjunct Faculty

Kathleen Sobel teaches undergraduate courses, both online and in person in the College of Health Professions.  She has presented at conferences with emphasis on healthcare reimbursement and the value of a healthcare practicum. She has also written an article about the value of a healthcare practicum.   In previous faculty roles, she has served as a course lead, which includes working with the curriculum team on updates, changes, and course revisions and holding quarterly meetings. Sobel served as professor in the master’s degree in public administration program at Fairleigh Dickinson University prior to joining Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) in 2008. Sobel has also worked as a hospital administrator for a large rehabilitation facility and a practice administrator for a family practice residency program.

Sobel received her Associates Degree at Union County College, bachelor’s degree at Kean University and master’s degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Sobel is married and has two adult grandchildren and loves to play tennis, ski, garden, photography, and generally being outdoors.
